What is Atlassian and what is it used for?
Atlassian is a collaboration software company for software, IT and business teams, and its planning, documentation and code products include Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket.
Jira organizes tasks and tracks development work. Confluence gathers documentation pages and spaces to record decisions, processes and team information. Bitbucket hosts Git repositories and code review flows, and Bitbucket Pipelines connects the code to automated validation. Jira Product Discovery records ideas and organizes product priorities.
On top of these tools sits Rovo, Atlassian's AI layer: it searches several apps at once, combining results from Jira and Confluence with connected third-party apps. The company also sells Trello, for visual boards, and Loom, for asynchronous video.
Each product is subscribed to separately, with a Free plan and paid plans. The Teamwork Collection bundles Jira, Confluence, Loom and Rovo agents in a single package.
