What is JetBrains and what is it used for?
JetBrains is the vendor of development environments, the IDEs, such as IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, WebStorm and Rider, that programmers use to write, analyze, debug and test code in specific languages and platforms.
There is one IDE for each environment, among them PyCharm, WebStorm, Rider, RustRover, RubyMine, PhpStorm, GoLand, CLion and DataGrip. The All Products Pack puts the IDEs in a single subscription. For .NET work, the company also sells ReSharper for Visual Studio and the dotCover and dotTrace tools.
The license is a per-user subscription. IntelliJ IDEA and PyCharm have free versions, and RustRover, Rider, WebStorm, CLion, RubyMine and DataGrip have a free license for non-commercial use.
For AI, JetBrains offers AI Assistant and the Junie agent, which share the same credit quota. The descriptions come from the vendor.
