Oracle Documaker

Oracle Documaker is a customer communications management system that automates the creation and delivery of high-volume business documents by print, email and other channels. The product documentation sits in Oracle's financial services section.

Oracle's current documentation covers version 13.0.2 of the Enterprise Edition, whose main components are Document Factory, Dashboard, Administrator, Web Services and, optionally, Interactive and Docupresentment.

Document Factory is the batch and publishing engine, workflow-enabled and database-centric. Dashboard tracks the jobs being processed. Interactive is the web application where business users create correspondence with role-based approvals and pre-built industry content.

Web Services let other systems submit jobs to the Document Factory and check their status.

Oracle does not publish a list price for Oracle Documaker: purchasing is by quote from Oracle or a partner.

The product pages and the official documentation show no dollar figures, and the billing cycle, monthly or annual, is not disclosed either. What Oracle does publish is the licensing model: in the company's license definitions and rules documents, the Documaker Mobile program is counted per financial services subscriber, defined as a person registered to receive mobile documents instead of, or in addition to, printed ones. • The Web Services described in the documentation are SOAP, and anyone expecting a REST API must confirm with Oracle.
• The product's marketing page is old, so what it promises needs to be checked against the current version.
