Qase

Qase is a test management platform that brings test cases, plans, manual runs and automated test results together in one place.

QA and development teams write cases in a repository, group them into plans and runs, and track results in reports and dashboards. Shared steps avoid repeating the same sequence across many cases: when a shared step is edited, every linked case is updated.

The vendor's site cites more than 35 integrations, including Jira, GitHub and Linear, plus automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium and Jest. The AI Test Designer generates manual cases from a requirement that is typed in or imported from Jira, GitHub, Notion or Confluence.

Qase also has an MCP server, which can link cases and runs to Jira issues.

Qase has a free plan for up to 4 users, and the paid Teams plan costs $35 per user per month billed annually and $42 billed monthly.

• Free: $0, no time limit, for up to 4 regular users, with a limit of 2 projects and 30 days of test run data.
• Teams: $35 per user per month billed annually or $42 billed monthly, with a minimum of 5 regular seats. It replaced the Business plan, which cost $30 and $36, according to the vendor's June 2026 blog post.
• Enterprise: quote-based, with annual pricing, unlimited users, storage and run history, multi-workspace SSO and SCIM.
• Collaborator: $10 per user per month, with view-and-comment access to runs, reports and dashboards, on Teams and Enterprise.

The same blog post says the Startup plan was retired for new customers.

Qase is worth it for QA teams that want test management with a free entry plan and Jira and GitHub integration; the Teams plan, however, has gone up in price and requires at least 5 seats.

Cons:

• Teams requires at least 5 regular seats, and Free ends at 4 users.
• Free is limited to 2 projects and 30 days of run data.
• Business became Teams and went from $30 to $35 per user per month billed annually, in June 2026.
• Converting a project shared step to a global one cannot be undone.
• The AI Test Designer runs on OpenAI models, which matters for teams that restrict AI providers.

The main alternatives to Qase are TestRail, Xray, Zephyr and BrowserStack, and Qase itself publishes a page comparing itself to each one.

• TestRail: a test management tool independent of Jira, a direct competitor to Qase in cases, plans and reports.
• Xray: test management that runs inside Jira (Atlassian); according to Qase's comparison, Qase links tests to issues through an API instead of cloning issues.
• Zephyr: also part of the Jira ecosystem, with an Enterprise version compared by Qase; Qase works as a platform of its own, integrated with Jira.
• BrowserStack: a cloud for running tests on browsers and devices, whereas Qase manages cases, plans and results; Qase frames the comparison as test management versus execution cloud.

Teams that already keep everything in Jira tend to look at Xray and Zephyr; teams that want a separate platform compare Qase and TestRail.
