What is Xiaomi MiMo and what is it used for?
Xiaomi MiMo is Xiaomi's family of language models, with code and weights published in the XiaomiMiMo organization on GitHub and Hugging Face and access through its own API platform.
The MiMo-7B repository presents the first model in the family, aimed at reasoning, with Base, RL-Zero, SFT and RL checkpoints available on Hugging Face and ModelScope. MiMo-V2-Flash is described on GitHub as a foundation model for reasoning, coding and agents, a mixture-of-experts model with 309 billion total parameters and 15 billion active.
The organization also publishes MiMo-VL, a vision-language model, and MiMo-Code, a tool where models and agents evolve together, with source code under the MIT license and a separate trademark policy for the MiMo name.
The official API platform lists the products API, Desktop, Studio, Claw and Code. The MiMo Code documentation mentions OpenAI-compatible and Anthropic-compatible endpoints. Models change generation often, and the platform is the reference for what is in use.
